PD-TDI Replacement ECU | Control Unit

Hello,

I want to install a PD-TDI engine into a T3 without using the original engine control unit (ECU).

In the motorsport sector, there are "freely programmable" engine management systems for gasoline engines, and I was hoping that someone in this forum might know of companies or individuals who manufacture similar systems for diesel engines.

Hello Mike,

Bosch Motorsport offers such products, but the price is completely irrelevant for a hobby project.

I can perform a reasonable adjustment with the engine control unit, possibly including a reduction in the maximum torque.
Actually, there's no real need to modify this motor with a custom-programmable system, because you can already modify all the necessary functions as desired using the standard engine control unit. Additionally, you have the advantage of already having a reasonable and tested foundation, so you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
