Hello,
I need a new control unit; it's showing up in the error memory when I use VAG-COM because the car has stalled several times and is also running poorly.
The engine is completely new with 0 km, as is the turbocharger.
Now, at a well-known auction house, I'm only finding STG models with different letters, such as AK, etc.
Are there any comparable options for my car?
Volkswagen Golf III 1.9 TDI, manufactured in 1995, 66 kW, I believe without a wastegate flap system (WFS).
PS: Engine 1Z.
Best regards and thank you in advance.

hast du schon die sachen drumherum geprüft? Relay 109, for example?

However, the AF (presumably referring to a specific product or service) does include WFS (likely referring to Wing Field Services) - at least for the K-series models.
Officially, GG is the successor for all 021 models at location 1Z.

Hello,
"I haven't figured out anything else around that. I'm trying to find out why relay 109 sometimes clicks when the ignition is turned on, and another relay might be involved (the tachometer needle jumps, etc.). The clicking seems to be coming from the area around the light switch."
Where else can I look?
Greetings.

Right where that clicking sound is coming from That's also where your 109 is located .

Ahhhhh, yes, then everything is clear.
Where is the fuse for the 109? Do I need to change the light switch, this box, etc., or is the relay located behind the light switch assembly?
Greetings.

Hello,
Yesterday, I checked my fuse box, but I didn't find relay 109 there. Could it be located somewhere else in a Golf III TDI manufactured in November 1995?
Greetings.

Behind the fuses, there are several relays, and one of them is labeled "109"... Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben!

How can I access what's behind the fuses? It's not directly behind the fuse box; there are relays there as well. So, what's behind that? How do I get to it?
Greetings.

I don't want to say anything wrong, but it seems like there's another connector behind the fuses. Simply unscrew the fuse holder and you'll see the relays behind it.
For some people, it was excessive, but that's something you're supposed to be able to recognize. Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben!

Hello fellow diesel mechanics, I have a fuse box, but the number 109 is not printed on it.
I read that it might also be compatible with parts from the Golf 2 model.
Greetings.

Hello,
I found it "laughs". When I look at the relay, I'm amazed that the car even runs and starts.
I couldn't find it because it was somehow secured with tape and had a ring for pulling it out. It also seems to be quite oxidized, as there's already a good amount of rust visible.
I took a picture.
I've never checked it, even though I've owned the car for 4 years.
I already called our VW dealer, and it costs 14 euros. Now I've read that there are new ones that are gray. Would it be better to get a gray one instead of a black one?
Greetings.
