I am familiar with the concept of 'training' PDEs, but in a different order of magnitude for the PDE.
The 'big brothers' of PDE, the truck plunger injection pumps with PLD control unit, are manufactured in various tolerance groups.
This means that the different injector pumps inject varying amounts of fuel for the same injection duration. To ensure proper injection, I now need to take this tolerance into account.
In PLD, this is done using the pump characteristic curve.
This is the 'pairing' process for the submersible pumps.
The same principle applies to CR injectors.
Probably not for PDEs at VAG
