The exhaust smell coming from the water doesn't necessarily match a leak that's "only" in the heat exchanger.

Did you also have water in your oil?

I didn't see that. "So, I didn't have any white sludge in the oil."

That might perhaps explain the strange running noises icon_sad.gif.

A motor that's running rough makes awful noises. It sounds really harsh and unhealthy. Even if no water gets into the oil.

Or, do you definitely know what the workshop did?

... next question please ... icon_redface.gif

... I'm still checking the car for signs of repairs.

I would be interested to know how the ZK screws are tightened at the factory icon_question.gif.
Best regards, Christian

Okay, I'll try: If the images don't arrive with you, please let us know. Unfortunately, you'll have to assemble the link yourself, as the forum isn't powerful enough icon_wink.gif.

Hi haehnlein,

The links are working perfectly.
You must copy the ENTIRE link into the address bar, not just the underlined part.
Apparently, the forum cannot display such a long URL as a hyperlink.
(But actually, it explained Gremlin.)

Are you all perhaps not so familiar with HTML code?

Here are the working links:

http://db3.bosch.de/cgi-bin/cgiWebLinkImage.exe?sid=2571030&action=jpeg&image=%5c%5cGrommit%5carena2%5cBilder%5cat%5c0399%5c00002527.jpg

The backslash is not actually an HTML character, and therefore the forum software does not recognize it as a URL character (I'm also sure it's related to the forward slash).

Okay, like this:

http://db3.bosch.de/cgi-bin/cgiWebLinkImage.exe?sid=2571030&action=jpeg&image=//Grommit/arena2/Bilder/at/0399/00002527.jpg

Hi Markus,

I have tried it and just tried it again: it doesn't work (Netscape 7.0) icon_mad.gif ...but the problem has been solved thanks to HTML-Papa Bertil icon_lol.gif icon_eek.gif.
If I copy the link from Bertil into the address bar, it doesn't work either -> not very fit icon_cry.gif.

It's interesting how the head screws are tightened......Hopefully, as a hobbyist who estimates the angle of rotation, you're doing it correctly icon_confused.gif.

Best regards, Christian.

Okay, Netscape... icon_rolleyes.gif then you need to use the link below. Netscape is fully optimized for UNIX (Linux), and it doesn't like backslash characters at all.

"The top and bottom sections work for me in IE 6, and the bottom section works in Opera and Netscape under Linux."
