Hi everyone, I'm signed up for the first time today and I'm already running into a problem:
My Golf V 2.0 TDI 140 hp, manufactured in 2004 and without a particulate filter, has a peculiar issue.
"At a coolant temperature between 50 and 70 degrees Celsius, the engine exhibits irregular idle fluctuations and then simply stalls. It restarts without any problems, and when the temperature exceeds approximately 70 degrees Celsius, the problem disappears."
The strange thing is that the diagnostic system doesn't show any error codes related to the "friendly!" device.
I hope someone can help me, as I couldn't find anything using the search function.
As discussed via private message:
- Check the coolant temperature sensor.
- Check the power supply to the motor control unit.
- Check to see if the dataset from the STG is up-to-date.
I had that issue with a Ford Focus once. It was the camshaft sensor. I'm not sure if VW has the same part.
