AFN Oil Filter Replacement Guide

Hello everyone,
I was just thinking about whether it would be possible to install the newer oil filter housings, including the filter element, on my AFN engine.
Has anyone had experience with this before, or is it even technically feasible?

Are you aware that by doing this, you'll be changing the oil circulation path from the main oil filter to a bypass oil filter?
It's not just the "oil filter holder" that is different, but also the entire oil supply system.

@ Rüdi: I spontaneously developed a feeling of dislike for the standard oil filter because I couldn't get it off, as things are so tightly packed in my car. When it finally came off, there was a huge mess... It would have been nice if I could have just replaced the filter cartridge.

@Bertil: I wasn't aware of the oil supply issue, as I'm not very familiar with the oil circuit... The electrical system is more my area of expertise.
That's why I wanted to know if it seems like a good idea. I guess I'll just leave it as the original designer intended.
