That means:
Who among chip tuning enthusiasts reverts to the original state?
(for whatever reason, z. B. because he wants to sell the car, his wife will be using it in the future, and he doesn't like chiptuning or whatever.
..has no way to remove the traces that the previous installation of other data blocks (chiptuning) has/have caused?
If, however, there is still... which ones? |

The younger the car is, the easier it is for the manufacturer to prove its traceability.
(or the impossibility of complete retrofitting). All control units are networked.
and who, for example, stores the maximum injection amount (ABS? Airbag)? Radio?)
is limited only by the imagination of the developers (it is stored in MSTG and Dash!).
In the very old days, simply replacing the (factory-installed) socketed EPROMs was sufficient.
It's somewhere in between.

Okay, understood.
But what about the situation where the manufacturer only has the engine control unit?
can he also provide proof for that? |

The vehicle is less than one year old.
After the car was in the workshop, the passenger airbag was deactivated, and the circuit was likely interrupted (noticed by the time).
This likely indicates that you are correct in asserting that VW did not inspect the engine at the rear, but rather at another location.
Stupid thing... |

because Samoht asks fictitious questions and does not add the relevant background information.
There is a possibility that Seat will reject the warranty claim due to the "chiptuning". Gruß, der Teileklaus

So, with the newer EDCs, you'll see...
8P with 2.0 TDI... A friend of mine (admittedly) had a 'box' installed.
Now, his PDEs were in place (or 2), and he naturally carefully placed the box beforehand.
and went with it, because of the warranty...after a bit of back and forth, it was settled.
I watched it online from the workshop, it took less than 2 minutes, and then...
'Forget about that, it's or, at least, it went with performance plus - NÜX Guarantee'
In the current beta versions, there are even testing programs for
Suspected performance enhancement. However, they seem to only work when still installed.
And as mentioned before - he was also the one who got the box from the trunk later on.
but beforehand, it was categorically denied. |

This should be possible for all vehicles that are OBD2 compatible. This is why the open OBD2 protocol has been introduced.
Even law enforcement officers and experts should be able to demonstrate improved performance using the appropriate testing equipment. Not only the workshop.
Unfortunately, I cannot say whether or to what extent this has been fully implemented. Gruß Bertil
