Hello everyone,
I'm currently in the process of converting my VP37 from a 10mm to an 11mm distributor body.
Almost everything has been exchanged now.
There's still a small problem.
At the top of the distribution body, in the center of the four outlets for the injection lines, there is a large screw. This screw is flattened on three sides. It appears that a special socket wrench is needed.
Does anyone know how to do this using standard workshop tools?
Thank you very much!

Okay, I've got it.
So, the special tool is called:

Open-end wrench SW25, with a small amount of material removed from one side in the middle, likely by an angle grinder.

Greetings!

Hello everyone!
As announced a couple of days ago, I replaced the timing belt on my ALH engine and converted the VP37 injection pump from a 10mm to an 11mm delivery valve.
I followed the instructions found in the technical articles, and everything actually worked out well.

The problem is that the engine is extremely difficult to start. I have to crank it for about 7 seconds before it starts. However, I have to give it a lot of gas (20-40% pedal position), otherwise the engine will stall.
I checked the valve timing, and it's 100% correct.
It must be the pump that's causing the problem.
Do I need to adjust anything after replacing the manifold?
What could be wrong?

Best regards!

It's very likely that the problem is that your dosing valve is now set too lean.
Therefore, the initial injection volume is far too low.
It would have been best to have the pump adjusted by the Bosch service center.
You can now only partially fix the problem by adjusting the turnout.
There is also a technical article about it.
