Hi everyone,
I recently used VAG-COM to read the diagnostic codes from my A4, and I found the following error codes. Can anyone tell me more about them?
Engine.
'One error found:'
00513 - Ignition timing sensor (G4)
03-00 - No signal.
Combination instrument.
'One error found:'
00779 - Sensor for vertical acceleration (G90).
30-00 - Interruption or short circuit after the positive terminal.
Best regards and many thanks.
Markus.

Hello,
Please also provide the model year and engine code.
Error code 779 in the instrument cluster does not refer to the G90 sensor, but rather to the G17 sensor (outside temperature sensor). Once again, VAG-Com has assigned the wrong text to the error code. Tschüss

Hello Merlin,
For the AKN (presumably a system or organization), there is an error table in the error/knowledge database.
Error code 779 in the combination instrument indicates either a wiring problem to the G17 module or a faulty G17 module. Tschüss
