Hi,
I have a Polo 6N2 GTI with engine code ARC and 40,000 km on the odometer.
"For the past few days, it's been difficult to start the car, or it only starts when I press the gas pedal all the way down. Also, I've noticed for a while now that it doesn't run as smoothly as it used to."
The error log says the following, with the first three errors having been present for a few weeks... the last one is new:
16502 4076 P0118 Coolant temperature sensor - G62 signal too high.
16825 41B9 P0441 Fuel tank ventilation system, flow malfunction.
16556 40AC P0172 Bank 1, Fuel Trim System - System too rich.
17549 448D P1141 Load recording: implausible value.

Okay, take a look at the temperature readings in the data blocks, then check if any cables or connectors to the sensor are corroded or if the sensor itself is faulty.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hi, thanks for the information. Which measurement blocks are those? And what can I learn from them?
I took a look at the sensor, and it doesn't seem rusty or damaged.

I took a look at the measurement blocks. Initially, the value was constant, but then it gradually decreased to -6°C .
Today I replaced the temperature sensor and cleared the error codes... let's see if it's okay now and if the error reappears.
Chris.

Okay, so it seems the error has been fixed, but there's still one error remaining.
17549 - Load Calculation Cross Check: Implausible Value.
P1141 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
which essentially means "17549 448D P1141 - Implausible value detected during load process."
I just can't make any sense of it.
Chris.

Let's check for vacuum leaks. What does the mass airflow sensor/air flow meter do (I have no idea what's installed in that thing)?
What does the throttle valve do, how is the throttle valve position detected, and has a basic throttle valve adjustment been performed yet?
Something isn't working correctly with the load data acquisition. It could be that the throttle position feedback doesn't match the air mass/injection time, or that the air mass doesn't match the injection time. What are the lambda values doing?
Best regards, Rainer.

Hey,
Thank you for the response. It's a K&N 57i filter installed, but it's been there for years, and the error is relatively new.
My engine doesn't have a lambda sensor.
Throttle valve is not exhibiting any unusual behavior...
1. Where can I find information on how the throttle position is being monitored?
2. Where do I configure the basic DK settings?
Where can I find the lambda values?
Chris.

Hi.
Yesterday, I cleaned and readjusted the throttle body using VAGCOM. It seems to be pulling better now, and it's responding better to the accelerator pedal.
But the bug with the cargo tracking is still there!
How do I do that with lambda values?
Chris.

Please provide a complete scan of the vehicle, and then check the wiring and the connector that leads away from the alternator.
Then check the amount of engine load reported in measurement block 10, field 2, at idle with the air conditioning and other consumers turned off, and see if the value changes or increases when you give it some gas.
MWB 10.2 = 10.30% by weight.
MWB 10.3 (Throttle valve angle): 0.8...4.5 % = within specification.

Hi.
MWB 010.2 is idling between 17.6% and 18.4%. When I accelerate, it increases, and then returns to an idling level between 16.5% and 17.6%.
MWB 010.3 is at 1.2% idle.
I cannot provide a complete scan at the moment because I can't get the file off my old Asbach notebook because there's no disk drive, no USB port, and no printer .
Chris.

Hello!
I'm very interested to know what the results were regarding your error "implausible value detected" in conjunction with "fuel mixture too rich." I have a vehicle that has been experiencing this issue for a year now, and it appears intermittently.
Best regards, Henne.
