I have a Golf 4 (model year 2003) that originally came with a hands-free phone system and a Nokia 6110. When I remove the ignition key and the phone is still on or in the holder, ...

Calls are coming through to my N70. I would prefer it if the car phone would switch off after about 5 minutes. } Is there a way to adjust the time? } I have VCDS in the latest version, and when I try to access the phone, I get the message that the control unit cannot be found. } Can anyone help me? }

Yes, in the phone's settings.
As long as the mobile phone is connected to the car's hands-free system, the vehicle operator is recognized. An additional menu option then appears, allowing you to adjust the automatic shut-off setting.
My parents have a 6110 device installed in their Mercedes, which is connected to the vehicle's on-board diagnostics (OBD) system. The shutdown time is currently set to 5 minutes. This setting was configured as described.

Sorry, I made a mistake. I have the 6110, not the 6210.
I'm unfortunately unable to find this menu option, even when looking at the phone recording.

Check the "vehicle profile" to see if you can find something like ignition detection, and then disable it.

For some Nokia phones, an alternative method is to create an entry in the phonebook (SIM card). This allows you to set a "call duration." The phone number field should represent the time in minutes (0-60).

Try searching for "delay time" or "hang time" online. Some people say it's related to the SIM card, while others say it's a setting called "TIMER." Some suggest it should be placed at the very beginning of the list, etc.

I think it worked with a delay setting on my father's phone (Nokia 6210).
