Okay, I've now read out my KSG using VAG-COM. Could it be that this is why I can't get my FFB to pair or function properly?

Passat 3B Highline, MJ 1998-1998.

Code:
VAG-COM Version: DRV 311.3-S

It would be great to finally get an answer icon_wink.gif.
THANK YOU icon_smile.gif

Okay, and one more thing: I had my steering wheel calibrated (I have ESP), and since then, the car has been pulling to the left. Could it be that the "sensor" wasn't adjusted correctly?

"Thank you!"

Regarding the steering wheel replacement, I can only offer this: Simply installing a new steering wheel will never cause the car to pull to one side. It's possible that you didn't center the steering wheel properly during installation, so the sensor now constantly thinks you've turned the wheel slightly. However, this wouldn't necessarily cause the car to drift out of alignment. You can also use VAG COM to read the steering angle.

I suspect there might be a problem with the track, which could occur in everyday situations (e.g., when encountering curbs or potholes).

When I hear about malfunctioning FFB (Force Feedback) in the 3B, I immediately think of water ingress. If the error reappears after clearing it, have you properly calibrated it? Have you already checked the "water level" under the driver's seat on the metal plate icon_smile.gif?

Bora: Is the error code fixable? If not, expose the control motor and check/clean/replace it.

Hello,

Okay, so how do I read the steering angle? I only have VAG-COM 311 and 409 *g*.
I've had my alignment checked twice, and it hasn't made any difference. I also made sure to set it up according to the markings.
It's strange, but when I'm driving straight, my steering wheel is tilted about 20 degrees to the right.
When I fully accelerate, the steering wheel straightens out, and the car pulls to the left!

I'll delete the error; it should work now!

Regarding: Passat 3B.
I'll check that icon_biggrin.gif about the water level, but I think it's dry.

I found a guide here that says to first delete the existing connection and then re-pair. I'll try that. *g*
Okay, so the error reappears after deleting the file, right? But could it be related to the "door handle lights"? Probably not, though, right?

Thank you in advance icon_twisted.gif.

Hello,

Do you mean that?
If I replace the entire wheel bearing housing, will that solve the problem (I was planning to do that anyway because of a brake conversion)?

What options do I have to be able to say that definitively?
Alignment was done twice, and it was correct each time, but it didn't work in practice!

Regarding VAG-COM... I'm following your instructions and have now reached 311, which is supposed to be for "Pairing Radio Key VW" or something similar. However, I'm already stuck at the very beginning because I don't know how to access the "Adaptation" section and then enter the channel... I only see the individual control buttons in front of me, and not any channels icon_sad.gif.

"Thank you!"

"Take it easy with the wheel bearing housing. The Passat's multi-link rear axle has always been prone to issues. This isn't new. As Rainer said, check carefully to see if anything is worn out. There are eight control arms, two stabilizer bars, and two eccentric bolts to inspect. Are there any noises coming from it?"

What modifications are you planning to make to the brakes, if I may ask?

Hello,

So, pay attention and don't confuse icon_wink.gif.
There are no problems with the Passat, except for the remote key fob!
All 8 control arms are new, including the stabilizer, joints, etc. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them.

I'm experiencing this problem with my Bora 1.9 TDI 116PS PD.
First, I had to adjust the threads because one side was always sinking lower, which has been happening since the beginning, so I corrected that.
Okay, I'm going to try setting it now and see if anything changes!
The steering wheel from an R32 was installed, including the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and steering angle sensor, but nothing was done with VAG-COM (diagnostic tool).
And the wheel bearings and axle boots are also new!

But it always pulls to the left as described, even when the steering wheel is straight. The steering wheel was properly installed, and it also automatically corrects itself to "straight," but unfortunately, the car then pulls to the left icon_sad.gif.

Do you know what might be the problem? The alignment has already been checked twice, but unsuccessfully. icon_cry.gif

Hello,

Okay, so I tried programming the car key using my spare key from my Bora, and it worked perfectly, but the key that came with the car wouldn't icon_sad.gif.

What could be wrong?
I opened it, and visually, the circuit board looks good icon_wink.gif.
