VW LTII Diagnosis: Troubleshooting & Repair

Hello!

I have a VW Passat 3B and an LTII. I can easily connect to my Passat using my diagnostic adapter and RossTech software, but what do I do with the LTII? It has the Mercedes-style connector, the round 14-pin one.

Can I build my own adapter for that? But how will that work with my diagnostic adapter?

If it's a current-model Sprinter van, then things look bad because it's 100% Mercedes.

Yes, that might work. My connector looks like this. But how do I know if it will function with the RossTech software, and then also with my hardware?

Is this a Volkswagen LTII from the year 2001 with a 2.5 TDI engine and ANJ code?
