Hello!
I want to program a new key for my Polo 6N, manufactured in 1998, but I don't have the login code.
Is it possible to read the code via OBD2, or does anyone know of a tool that can do this?
Siemens 6H0 953 257 B TMS 370 MCU.
Best regards,

No, because the Polo 6N still has the external WFS box. You can't retrieve the login information via OBD for that. Instead, you have to remove and disassemble the box.
The best thing to do is simply take it to a mechanic and have them fix it. MfG. Michael

If at least 1 key is still paired and present, then it can be read out without any problems via OBD .

Really? That's new to me. Tell me more about it. I was only familiar with the method using a test clip and an EEPROM reader. MfG. Michael

Bracket? EEPROM reader? On an MCU? I don't think so.
It connects easily via OBD using a special tool. Even on a Golf3 .

Hi!
I tried it with the 7.8 special tool, but unfortunately, it didn't work. I received the following response from support:
Immobilizer does not allow reading of memory by not clear reasons. This means
"Cannot read the immobilizer code from this module using the OBDII pin code."
But maybe I did something wrong. Do you have any suggestions?

What were you trying to read? How many pins does the box have? (6...8...10) If possible, please send me a picture of it. Also, if possible, a picture of the circuit board.

Hello, the box has 8 pins.
I tried it with the TMS Immo 1 setting, as well as the other HC05 and HC 05-2400 settings.
I can take the photos on the weekend.

Okay, the 8-pole version is an intermediate option. It might not work. The 6-pole versions are the ones mentioned in the program, and the 10-pole version is the one that the TDI-GTI-4-Motion refers to. Only a special programming device will work, or you'll have to tow the car to a VAG dealership and have them program it there .
