Hello,
I'm currently having a frustrating issue with my Golf V 2.0 TDI, manufactured in 04/2005.
'Since my front brake pads were quite worn, I received the 'Check brake pads' message on the dashboard last Friday, along with a warning sound and a constantly illuminated yellow light. It wasn't a big deal, so I replaced the front brake pads, and the message disappeared.'
BUT since that exact brake pad warning appeared, I've noticed a significantly different sound from the turn signals, much louder, and it sounds cheap and like a 'plastic turn signal,' which is hard to describe. Also, the warning beep has a changed sound.
The blinking sound is really annoying.
Of course, there are no error codes.
Does anyone have any ideas on where I should start?
P.S.: I already experienced a very annoying, intermittent beeping sound from the instrument cluster in the spring, which occurred at irregular intervals and across all frequency ranges, immediately after the 'Service now' message appeared on the display. After I reset the service interval, the beeping stopped.

hello,
"Optimized" instrument clusters were available starting in 09/2005.
These are intended for use when the gong/warning tone is malfunctioning.
I'm not entirely sure if this applies to your specific situation, but I'm quite confident that it does.

After I had the GRA (presumably a graphics card) installed in my computer, the sound of the fan no longer sounded as full as it did before.

Hello, I'd like to chime in on this.
Volkswagen Golf 5, manufactured in 9/2005, engine: 1.6L, 102 horsepower.
Both the turn signal sound and the beep sound are missing, even though the turn signals are working.
Can the "speaker" be replaced?
Is he in the AI? Gruß, der Teileklaus
