Passat 3C: Gateway Replacement Guide

Hi!

Currently, my car, a 3C Variant 2.0 TDI with DSG transmission, manufactured in 2007, has the gateway module 3C0 907 530 C installed.
Due to various upgrades, I would need a newer version.
I've already tried the H and K.

I'm having the same problem with the steering angle sensor on both of them.
I can only make it known using address 04. However, when I activate it there, it unfortunately cannot be found. The scanner says it's not present. This also results in errors in the braking electronics. It doesn't appear to be an error message related to a missing zero position.

The sensor is currently located at the C-gateway with the address 00.

Should I trade in more items to get the newer gateway?
Are there perhaps other versions that might communicate better with my configuration?

Indexes E, H, L, and Q should work.
Index K and P are for vehicles equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which you probably don't have installed.

Please note that if you have the PFSE, the software for the telephone keypad needs to be updated.

The Gateways with a higher index C are only compatible with 5D STG software versions 0019 or higher.

Hello,

I had my first attempt today regarding the software update on the .
Unfortunately, it didn't find any updated software.
I've just seen in the diagnostic report from the VAS 5051B that they were only looking for updates for address 77, which is the hands-free system.

Just so that I can be sure next time, I'll give them the tip with the address 5D.
The software update should still be found using the "old" C gateway, right? Or do I need to install the new one first?
