Hello,

I used the steam cleaner. It was urgently needed; in some areas, the buildup was as thick as 5mm.

After that, the manifold is clean, but everything around you looks like a complete mess.

DO IT SOMEWHERE ELSE! (Like your mother-in-law's garden!)

Okay, I've disconnected the EGR system, because soot belongs in the exhaust, not in the engine!

Hello Garth,

Were you able to notice any changes in performance after cleaning the intake manifold?
Are there any (not just subjective, but also) measurable evidence (e.g., DZR, data logging with VAG-COM before and after) to support this?
Has your fuel consumption possibly decreased?
