Windshield wiper switch, intermittent function, defective

For the past year, the following error has repeatedly appeared in the log:

Deleting it doesn't do anything; it reappears immediately.

A genuine fault in the windshield wiper switch or intermittent function.
I can't find any issues - everything is working perfectly.

When I search for the error on Google, I only find another forum.
which states that both the switch and the module have been optimized in this regard, and that you should replace the switch first, then the steering column module.

Do you agree?
I still have a warranty or good chances of getting it fixed under goodwill, and I should probably have the workshop take care of it – or do you have any other ideas?

I'm not a big fan of taking cars to the workshop – often, it doesn't actually make the car any "better."

Resolution:

First, the interval timer was replaced, but it didn't work.

Then the steering column module was replaced, and the old error (as described in the original post) disappeared.

But – there were now two new errors.
I was told at the workshop that these phantom error entries cannot be removed.

Then, thanks to a tip from another forum, I changed the coding on the new steering column module – and hooray, no more errors!

So, I actually don't have a steering wheel shifter.
At the workshop, I was told that the multifunction buttons on the steering wheel are called that.
even if they are the volume up/down, mute, or phone buttons.
And these buttons worked perfectly.

You can see what I have re-encoded above in the two logs: 1. Before, 2. After.
Specifically, the encoding "0012122" has been changed to "0012022".

I need to look into what the transition from 0 to 1 actually means.
I believe VCDS displays a list of options when you press the coding button.
