MFA malfunction

Hello Diesel Enthusiasts
Yesterday, the MFA (Golf 4 ARL, built in 01) probably gave up the ghost.
The entire display area is now only emitting a faint red light! The alarm still works: (Outdoor temperature etc.)

Has anyone experienced this before??

On Wednesday, the car will be at the dealer for the 60k mile service.
He will be happy to earn something

Yes, it's the same for me, but only the red backlight is still working.
otherwise no advertisement oO

what could it be? Has something gotten stuck?
I'm going to try resetting the battery tomorrow to see if that works.

Now things are going again

Speedometer removed, disassembled, and then reassembled, as nothing was visibly wrong.
make sure the rubber from the display presses the board reasonably well,
more not.
Additionally, the battery was disconnected to achieve a full reset.
