... or just idling?

AFN engine, 235,000 km mileage, injectors replaced at 160,000 km, serviced by R. at 190,000 km.

"I've had a reading (cylinder 2 to 3) that's been consistently high since I bought the car (mileage: 90,000 km)."
more noticeable than the others (started at -0.70), and for some time now.
The average time is usually around -1mg.

However, what's noticeable are the relatively strong fluctuations, which occur in a short period.
Time range: -0.6 to -1.2. If I turn on the air conditioning while the car is stationary, the value fluctuates even more.
more pronounced.

Can relevant information be obtained under (steady) load on a quiet road?
Derive it from MWB 13? That would then indicate the possible sources of error.
due to vibrations from the auxiliary components, it is less pronounced.
I couldn't find anything about that in the technical articles.

Thank you.

Best regards, Klaus.

Does it depend on the speed or the load?
Turning on the climate control adds a bit of extra load, but it's still manageable.
Idle speed. What is it like there?

Best regards, Klaus.

Hello,

It mainly depends on the speed, because at high speeds, the VP37's mass airflow sensor can't keep up with the adjustments needed for proper fuel-air mixture.

In newer injection systems, such as EDC15 and EDC16 with pump-injector technology, this speed limitation does not exist. The speed limit up to which a fuel quantity correction is applied is adjustable and can, in some cases, reach the rated engine speed.
Above and below certain speed and quantity limits, the system switches from regulation mode to control mode (or is completely deactivated).

It is likely that the situation will be similar with current common rail direct injection systems.

Best regards, Rainer.

Hi Klaus!

M. W. the LLRR (emphasis on "idle"!) is deactivated or no longer evaluated at engine speeds above 1,400 rpm, which is why the MWB13 also "freezes" above that speed range.
Therefore, the values can only be interpreted up to the aforementioned speed.

Best regards from Munich!

EDIT: Was Rainer faster again icon_wink.gif?
In our T5 PD-TDI, the LLRR (Low-Pressure Refill) is also deactivated above 1,400 rpm. *note*
