Short question... this happened to a colleague recently.

Upon request for an inspection of the error code log, it was refused. He said he would like to collect that information.
The workshop simply stated that all errors had been fixed and the memory was no longer of interest.

I find that quite funny.
What do you think?

either...
- They are too lazy to plug the diagnostic device in again because they forgot to print something. icon_confused.gif
- They're too lazy to even plug in the diagnostic device, but they still charge for the service. Now, the customer might realize that the error memory wasn't actually read because suddenly something appears in it! icon_evil.gif
- There are things in the error memory that the workshop cannot understand, and therefore, one wants to avoid any embarrassment. icon_rolleyes.gif

I recommend the following:

1. Please send this request to the central customer service department, mentioning the workshop involved (simply inquire, do not provide any evaluations!). -> Awareness raising*)

The workshop XYZ refused to provide the information, is this normal? Was this a directive from above? I would have liked to receive it for documentation purposes, possibly for resale.

Most of the time, there's always a supervisor or someone in charge that you can talk to about it.
if he also refuses to release the pressure.
Then I would tell him that you are going to switch workshops because it's outrageous.
and that's what you should do.
