Replace T4 Dual Mass Flywheel

I have a T4 AJT 2.5 TDI, manufactured in 2000, with 380,000 kilometers on the clock, and the clutch is faulty.

Normally, I always replace the clutch along with the dual-mass flywheel (DMF).

I saw that Valeo offers a kit with a fixed flywheel.
"A timely alternative to ZMS" is what this sentence is called.

Has anyone ever tried this before? What experiences have you had with it?

Used search function: EMS or ZMS.

For 4-cylinder engines without a balance shaft (modul), you can use it without noticeable drawbacks. It's supposed to not work with engines that have a balance shaft, and it's rumored to cause noise, although I haven't tried it myself. I haven't tested it on 5-cylinder engines either.

I've now installed two single-mass flywheel kits in a long-wheelbase TDI van (102 hp) and in an AJT pickup truck. It's a bit more noisy at idle than before. Starting the engine can be a little less comfortable. It's comparable to an older /8 200d. But driving is a dream! You really get a feel for the clutch. I would definitely install it again!

The AJT should be similar to the AEL, but with slightly less power. I also have the ZMS in my Volvos, and it had a problem once at 280,000 km, but the car had been producing 400 Nm of torque up to that point.
He then bought a used one, and it works perfectly.
I also left the ZMS on some other cars - my cars have 400-500 thousand kilometers (approximately 250-310 thousand miles) - it should still work.

Essentially, there are a few values for the ZMS (presumably a technical term), and you can actually measure these quite accurately using the equipment available, allowing you to determine its condition.
If the fat leaks out, the surface is damaged, or it's completely "gouged out," then a new one is obviously needed.
