I'm bringing this topic back up.
I recently had a bad experience with an SKF water pump in my AMF engine:
It was installed 15,000 km ago and has been in use for 10 months, but it has become leaky again.
Regards,
Adrian.

It had been in for 15,000 km and 10 months, and it has become leaky again.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident with this manufacturer.
"I personally encountered about 5 cases of this type, and it hasn't been used since."

Even though the topic might be old news already.
I always used/sold Dayco products, with only a few exceptions (Contitech). They are often used as original equipment parts and feature coated steel tensioner pulleys with water pumps.
The timing belt kit and the water pumps from Aitrtex are a good, inconspicuous option, available with either steel or brass impellers. The only thing to watch out for is that the edges of the timing pulley teeth are very sharp, so be careful when sliding the timing belt over them; perhaps this is the case everywhere.
The Dayco kit doesn't always include the nuts/bolts, but I don't mind that.
