Hello,
'Since yesterday, my TDI 1Z engine hasn't been warming up properly. After driving for 15 kilometers, the water temperature and oil temperature are only around 80°C, and that's with an outside temperature of 20°C.'
I think my thermostat might be broken, or maybe it's stuck.
What do you think about that?
Best regards,

Hello,
I've experienced that before too (it even happened once in a 1Z engine, in an Audi A4).
It was the thermostat back then. Don't forget to replace the sealing ring from the housing when you change it. Tschüss

Hello,
What other temperature are you talking about?
Okay, mine is a 2-star TD, and it only fully charged after 12km.
warm, which for me means an oil temperature of 80°C.
He just ignores it when I really put my foot down.
And the thermostat is fine, as it was recently replaced.
Best regards,
sw

Hello,
The water temperature was 20°C, the outside temperature was around 6-7°C, and after approximately 6-7 kilometers, the engine temperature reached 90°C, with the oil temperature at around 70°C, all under normal driving conditions.
Currently, with a somewhat faster driving style, the water temperature reaches only 90° after about 12 km. The oil temperature has essentially 'heated up' the water, causing both to become warmer simultaneously.
I bought a thermostat today for €12.25, including an O-ring.
Best regards,
