Has anyone here ever adjusted the valves on this engine?

The intake manifold is located where the fuel injection line is.
Adjustment screws are located on the rocker arm and on the bridge at the front of the valve.
The rear valve is directly actuated by the bridge via a rocker arm.

The EV should be set to 0.20 and the AV to 0.35.

If the exhaust valve is located where the intake manifold is, then I can't set it to that value. However, if the channels are designed in such a way that the exhaust valve is on the intake side, then I can adjust it so that it fits.

So, adjust the rear one (in the image above) to 0.2 using the adjustment lever, and adjust the front one (in the image below) to 0.35 using the adjustment screw on the bridge.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you would need to enter 0.20 on the lever and 0.15 on the bridge for the AV setting, totaling 0.35. Then, the upper valve (assuming it's the EV) should have a clearance of 0.20, and the lower valve (assuming it's the AV) would have 0.20 from the lever and 0.15 from the bridge, for a total of 0.35.

Either my theory is correct, or I am completely wrong.

"I need an opinion from someone who has done this before, or an excerpt from a repair manual."

Hmm, I don't understand exactly what you mean icon_confused.gif.

Normally, the clearance is adjusted between the valve disc and the rocker arm/tappet.
