Hello everyone,
I bought an Audi Cabrio, model year 1998, with a 2.8-liter engine and automatic transmission a few weeks ago.
The car has an electric convertible top.
This one also works perfectly, however, the warning light for the convertible top occasionally stays on continuously. Then, when you start the engine again, it goes away.
When the ignition is turned on, the lamp blinks 10 times.
It means there are errors in the memory.
Now, let's get to the actual problem:
Tried to read out the control unit (CU) with VCDS (CU 26), but the CU is not responding.
I was able to read the error codes with
Autoscan, but I couldn't clear them.
How can that be?
Why does it show up with an automatic scan but not with a manual scan?
Does anyone have any ideas?
Regards,
Nick.
