Ah, I just had another idea. There's this super-strong adhesive material. It can withstand up to 1500 kg/cm² of pressure. I'm going to use it to reinforce the KW stub.

Another option would be to apply the material and, before it hardens, slightly tighten the timing belt pulley so that everything distributes evenly and the imperfections are compensated for. Once it has hardened, tighten it properly. This should ensure that the force is distributed evenly over the surface. Additionally, the damaged cone would also be filled.

What do you think about it?

Best regards,
Fuschia.

Hi Fuschi,

absolutely nothing icon_eek.gif for example, even low-quality 8.8 steel already has a tensile strength of 800 N/mm2 (which corresponds to approximately 8000 kg/cm2 icon_exclaim.gif -> which is, of course, the maximum possible force: the yield strength is 640 N/mm2). The compressive strength is even much higher. Furthermore, it is crucial how the force transfer is between this substance and the steel -> it is certainly not particularly large (when it comes to vibration behavior, it is probably zero icon_cry.gif). Such additives achieve absolutely nothing in this case.... You have to accept it and just grind the thing down icon_sad.gif.

By the way: if you connect the ground clamp while welding to the engine block, you will damage the engine mounts (due to sparks).

That's right.
I was alone, getting dressed, and my mind was completely occupied with the concept of torque.

Hello.

Welding it could have fatal consequences!
Simply use thread locking compounds, such as Loctite.

Best regards,
