These are images that I've seen in real life before. In these cases, solutions might include using a milling machine, replacing the crankshaft, or installing a "rebuilt" engine.
"Some people have already secured the rear wheel using a dowel pin, and the really dedicated ones have even welded it in place."
I would try using the end mill.
