Hello there,
I need to provide some background to explain how I ended up on this page. Until now, gasoline engines have been the only "real" thing for me. I own two gasoline cars: an e36 320i Sport Sedan and an e34 525i Touring.
A friend has lent me his e34 525tds because the other two cars aren't working. He also offered to sell it to me, so why not?
The beginning was really difficult; the car broke down hundreds of kilometers from home and wouldn't start, the central locking system stopped working and triggered an error in the anti-theft system. Subsequently, the fuel pump and the electric vacuum pump also failed.
It's working again now, but I'm not allowed to plug it in, but I'll tell you more about that another time.
I really like the car, and the diesel engine is better than I expected, and I'm actually having a lot of fun driving it.
I've really made up my mind to get the car fixed and continue to enjoy driving it with the diesel engine  .
