Hello, I'm having the following problem:
'In my coupé, manufactured in 1996, the Climatic control system's air vent direction switching function is working intermittently. It appears that the flaps for the fixed vents (which always work) are closing, while the flaps for the selected vents are not opening (based on the sound of the fan).'
Do you have any tips?
Thank you, best regards.

I had the same problem. In my case, the ventilation control motors were defective. There should be an error code stored in the system's memory.

You need to check whether they are electrically or pneumatically controlled. (For example, in a Golf II, the middle ones are electrically controlled, while the outer ones are pneumatically controlled).
To check electric motors (e.g., using VAG-COM), or to check the pneumatic valve that distributes air (which is red on a Golf III and located on the climate control unit; in my old AUDI 100 Type 44, it was a black electronic box on the right side, at the bottom of the passenger footwell, behind a velour panel on the A-pillar, containing very outdated electronics that cost 500 DM).

Hello, I finally have my interface set up.
There are 4 errors.
00799 - Coolant temperature sensor, range 30-10: Intermittent interruption/short circuit.
01272 - Shareware ... 41-10 ...
00603 - Shareware ... 41-10 ...
01274 - Shareware ... 41-10 ...
(Climate Control System D51)
Can anyone make sense of this? Is it a connector, and if so, where?
Thank you in advance.
