Hello everyone,

I have a Golf 4 here that starts perfectly, and then, when cold, it runs relatively smoothly at 1000 RPM.
Temperature readings from the G62 during the warm-up phase seem reasonable. However, if you briefly press the accelerator, the idle speed will not drop, and it will remain at approximately 1400 RPM, oscillating slightly periodically, which corresponds to the lambda sensor voltage.
If the engine is turned off and restarted, the RPM remains normal until the accelerator pedal is pressed for the first time.

The intake area was thoroughly checked for air leaks, but none were found.

Where else can we search? Reports circulating online suggest that a new LLM has achieved success.

Remove the throttle body, carefully verschandeln the inside (I use paint thinner with a brush, followed by brake cleaner), reinstall it, and adapt it to the engine's operating temperature.

Thank you for the answers. Let's take a look at the adaptation and the cleaning.

I have two more questions regarding error localization.

Does a Lambda control activate if I disconnect the G62 sensor when the engine is warm? Theoretically, he should be in a cold start mode at this point, right?
2. How does an "i.O." behave? Engine, what happens if you remove the mass airflow sensor?

Either the oxygen sensor is actually detecting too much oxygen, or there is a fault with the sensor or its wiring that is causing it to report an artificially high value.
The MSG attempts to compensate for the exhaust gases by adjusting the ratio of recirculated exhaust gas (AGR) to fresh air, and apparently also using fuel (?).

Edit: Sorry, I missed the gasoline version. So, replace the AGR (Abgasrückführung) system with fuel.
Since you've already ruled out vacuum leaks, as mentioned before, the oxygen sensor or its wiring could also be the source of the problem.
Are the temperature values still plausible in the event of an error? A seemingly too-low temperature could lead to cold running characteristics with a high LL value (I once experienced this on an Audi 80 B3).
Disconnecting the mass airflow sensor (MAF) connection only results in additional errors. I would rather take a look at the values.
