The boost pressure control for the BRE engine is achieved using vacuum. Also, the valves in the cylinder head are also operated using vacuum.
Is the vacuum chamber of the control valves leaking? This is usually not noticeable, but the boost pressure control shows abnormalities because the leak prevents the correct vacuum from being established in the system.
Symptoms:
- Performance loss
- "Soft" misfires at full throttle
- I was unable to access the error logs stored in the engine control unit
.
Please review:
- Vacuum system for leak tightness
- Load regulation control with VCDS in measurement block 11 of the engine control unit, comparison of load regulation target value/actual value/actuation
- Default setting using VCDS in block 11 of the engine control unit, does the VTG adjustment lever quickly reach both ends? Loading pressure > 150mbar
- With KOBD2Check, you can see instances of boost pressure drops, even when the accelerator pedal is in the full throttle position.
