STG08 Climate - Function limitation due to MSG

Can you explain this error message?
The vehicle is a Volkswagen Golf 7.

in the car scan (Appendix 2):
08 - Climate Control/Heating Unit - Status: Error 0010.

then
1048835 - Function limitation due to engine control unit.
P1719 00 [008] - -
[MSG-induced PTC reduction]

The error occasionally reappears.
Is the engine control unit (ECU) functioning as it should, but is the air conditioning control unit failing to do its job?

Yes, No!



The MSG wants to reduce the load and tells the air conditioner to turn off the PTC heater, which it does. Otherwise, you would certainly have found more error messages.

For me, this isn't a real error, but just a message indicating "I had to turn something off...".

The "error" (or rather, the phenomenon) can be caused, for example, by a weak battery.

So ähnlich habe ich mir das gedacht. So, should I ignore it?

The battery shouldn't be weak. The car is only a year old and has 18,000 km on the odometer. And this issue isn't new.

Hello,

I would continue to monitor it and, before the warranty expires, check if there are any updates available for the relevant control units.
It might be a good idea to occasionally check the onboard voltage as well, just to make sure the battery isn't a defective unit.
