Mercedes Vito 639 100kW Error Code P2600

Hello.

We are having a problem with a Mercedes Vito 1313 BRJ, where the engine check light keeps coming on with the following error:

P2600: Coolant pump switching valve circuit fault.

We've already replaced the electric thermostat, and we haven't found the auxiliary pump yet!

Has anyone ever experienced this before?

In your case, I would check the wiring harness, all the way up to the control unit, for signs of damage caused by rodents or chafing. Also, make sure that all the pins in the connectors are making contact and that none of them have become dislodged.

Hello Michael,

The connector for the switching valve (Y19/10) is located under the engine cover. The wires in the connector are often brittle. Have you checked the connector?

The power supply comes from the engine control unit, pin 31, and the other wire connects to pin 9 of the glow plug control unit.
