Yep, the title pretty much says it all.

I would like to know if this part was manufactured before or after the facelift.
And that was in 1999, right?

'It would be nice if someone could explain the main differences to me.'
Thank you, Thomas.

As far as I know, there's only a very minimal external change that's barely noticeable. There were slightly modified taillights, but they still have the same shape, and, sorry if I'm wrong, I believe the bar above the license plate holder where the fog lights are located has also changed.

Hello...

Furthermore, I believe the grill is...
slightly modified (rib spacing).
and now forms the lower edge of the hood.
The central air intake in the bumper has also been present since the facelift.
bordered with a chrome strip.
I believe the elongated side turn signals are also new.

Best regards, Steve.

Hi!
The central grille located below the front bumper has been surrounded by a chrome strip since the facelift. Additionally, since the facelift, the speedometer and tachometer bezels have also been surrounded by a thin chrome frame => definitely.

Best regards, D.

Hi!

In addition to that:
Both side mirrors are the same size.
The lower apron is different.
The tailgate has a more pronounced fold.
The fenders and headlights have a slightly different, though subtle, shape.

Vorallen TDI models have stronger exhaust pipes.

Another distinguishing feature is the roof antenna.

Best regards, Marko.

Are you sure that all these changes were made by version 99?

I mean, the exhaust tips, etc., didn't arrive until January 1st, right?

Hi Arne!

You're right!
What Steve and D. described perfectly matches the current model, not the 99 model.
I also overlooked it. icon_lol.gif

Best regards, Marko.

Okay, that's fine.

One should think before writing.
What I wrote only applies to models from 2001 onwards.

Sorry!!!
