You are the one raising the issue with the bearing. The question is whether that bearing is actually removed and installed when a housing half is taken off, or if the problem doesn't even exist. To reseal the housing halves, you don't have to disassemble the gearbox into its individual components.
What needs to be done is stated in the ELSA .

Let's be clear: either you genuinely understand the critical part of the repair and discuss it with the workshop, or you're exaggerating a problem that doesn't exist. Then the workshop will take that very seriously.
If you can't provide any more information about the assembly of the special bearing, then we should probably end the discussion here.

The critical step after the ELSA procedure is to heat the transmission housing for 10 minutes to a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius, so that the roller bearing does not get damaged during reassembly.
I'm going to put 50 euros into the tip jar and mention that I appreciated the warming, hoping everything goes smoothly.
The repair will be carried out on January 8th. I will provide an update.

The repair was successfully completed without any further issues. I will report back on how it's doing after 5000 km.

After the transmission was resealed, there was a year of peace. Now, in 2019, it's leaking again, but only very slightly. I had expected something like that. I've now sealed it from the outside with epoxy resin. It should last as long as the Ibiza.

How does that work? (I know, that's a silly question.) I can only imagine putting a sticker over it.
