SFD Affected Vehicles: Brands & Models

SFD affects vehicles from the Volkswagen Group, starting around 2019/2020.

Betroffen sind Audi, Cupra, Seat, Skoda, VW und die Nutzfahrzeuge. Platforms:
Golf 8, the ID. models, and other MQB-evo platform vehicles.

Important for practical application: not every vehicle from 2019 is affected. A model with an older platform might be exempt, while a newer model of the same series might not. The question is not just the year of manufacture, but whether the vehicle's control unit uses the SFD (Software-Defined Data) technology.
