Hose at the air filter box

Hello

I have a 1995 Passat TDI. I was planning to install a cold air intake, and in the process, I found a small hose next to the air intake pipe. What is it good for and what should I do with it, because it doesn't fit on my open air filter?

das mit dem offenen Luftfilter ist mir zu hoch, versteh nicht warum sich jemand sowas einbauen will, aber egal.
Der Schlauch von dem Du sprichst mündet im Luftfilterkastenoberteil und ist ein ca. 1cm dicker schwarzer Gewebeschlauch ?
Ist die Entlastung des Unterdrucksystems, wenn Du unbedingt einen offenen Filter einbauen magst, steck in den Schlauch einen Benzinfilter o.ä. damit kein Dreck ins Unterdrucksystem gesaugt wird.

Ich hatte den Luftfilter schonmal zum Testen eingebaut und hatte den Schlauch offen liegen und seit dem funktioniert meine Powerbox nicht mehr. Kann es vielleicht sein, dass ich im Notlaufprogramm fahre?

Notlaufprogramm fühlt sich nach maximal 60-70PS an, das würdest Du merken.

Hi,

Most power boxes are connected to the LMM.
Check if there's a cable from the power box hanging loose somewhere. If you installed it open, then the "LuFi" box must have been outside. Maybe you accidentally cut the cable, forgot to connect it, or something like that.

Although I hadn't yet purchased an open-air filter, I was once offered one, and I was told that the hose should be closed, as I had already mentioned, to prevent dirt from entering.
Unfortunately, I don't know exactly what it's good for.
