You've identified the problem. That's why I also sell complete kits in the online store, which are guaranteed to work if assembled correctly. Or, I offer ready-made devices. And specifically, with an OBD2 connector.

Hi Tino,

L is the "communication channel" through which the dialogue is initiated via VAGCOM using the adapter.
The actual data exchange only occurs via the K-line(s).

More recent models no longer have the L-Line, and the opening process for those also goes through K.

Was that a rhetorical question? I don't run my online shop just for fun...
By the way, AMP offers pre-assembled cables (hello, just connectors and 16 wires) where I was quoted a special price of around 110 Euros per cable for purchases in quantities of 25.
I even specifically asked again to make sure they hadn't accidentally meant 110 euros for 25 cables...
Discussions about plugs should take place elsewhere, but not in this forum.

The kit, which is now offered in the shop, can be assembled and made functional in 30 minutes with a reasonable amount of skill, and it has the advantage that, unlike auction-based systems or circuits with only 1-2 transistors, it works with every laptop with an RS232 interface.

And for those who don't have a soldering iron, the adapter is also available as a complete unit.
