Hello everyone!
I drive a Nissan Almera N16 2.2 TDI.
Until yesterday, I hadn't had any problems with my car. Yesterday, I suddenly noticed that the clutch only fully disengages at the very last moment. The actual position of the grinding point seems to be the same, but the area up to the 100% force closure has become quite large.
Okay, I've then performed the 'famous clutch tests':
- Clutch in 2. Gang Release the handbrake --> Vehicle dies
- Full load in the 5th Gang --> no slipping of the clutch
The car has only 65,000 km on it and is driven almost exclusively on the highway. Is it possible that the clutch is already nearing the end of its life? If so, why did it suddenly fail after so many years? Is there a possibility that something is wrong with the clutch hydraulics?
Thank you for your help!!!
Best regards,
Marc
