Hello.
I've solved all the mechanical problems during my conversion. The engine is mounted horizontally without requiring any modifications to the engine bay.
Here's the translation:
'Things are different when it comes to the electrical system. Can anyone tell me what signals the control unit needs from the vehicle's peripherals?'
Here's the translation:
'In the Golf IV, the speed signal is obtained using a Hall sensor on the transmission. The T3 has a mechanical shaft. How can I reproduce this signal?'
Brake signal: how and from where? etc.
Sincerely,
Mike D.

Bremssignal .... Hm, verdammt schwer ... wie waer es mit ... THE BRAKE!!!
Don't forget the clutch signal!!!
And regarding the speedometer signal... I would simply use the Hall sensor from the T3 speedometer, which was also available with the MFA (Multi-Function Display), right?
Are you sure that's a Hall sensor and not a reed switch?!?!

Brake signal !!!!!! Take the signal from the light, brake light switch, and is it even compatible? Where is it connected on the Golf, and how?
Of course, I'm also modifying the cockpit of the Golf.
I'm not sure what 'Reed' refers to; I would need to check the manual to find the exact term.
There is definitely a signal converter in the transmission.
Best regards, Mike.

Do you have any wiring diagrams for the Golf?
There are two switches installed on the brake pedal: one for the brake light and one for the EDC (Electronic Dampening Control). There is only one switch on the clutch pedal, and it is also for the EDC.
For the EDC, both openers should be open, while the one for the light should naturally be closed.
Hall and Reed sensors function differently, but I'm not exactly sure what type is installed.
It's best to get a book about the specific make and model of car with that engine.

Hello Martin,
Thank you for your information. I have obtained the circuit diagrams.
I think the best approach is to incorporate the original Golf components that are necessary for signal generation. I spoke to someone who installed a pump-injector in a T3. He built his own adapter. I don't want to do that because of the difficulty in sourcing spare parts. Also, I would eventually like to have a completely error-free control unit.
Best regards,
Mike.

Hi there,
"This is a Hall sensor. The control unit expects a square wave signal with levels of 0 and 12V. In the T3, there was no MFA (Multi-Function Display) and only an inductive sensor for the speedometer (GALA). The signal from that sensor, if usable at all, requires further processing. If you're using a T3 speedometer, Bernd Jäger offers a suitable Hall sensor. Otherwise, you'll have to do some modifications. If you connect the Golf Hall sensor to the shaft, the control unit will only receive half the number of pulses it expects, meaning the cruise control will only engage at approximately 80 km/h."
Brake switch: One wire connects directly to the brake light, while the other wire, according to your wiring diagram, is connected via a relay to generate the brake light signal.
The clutch switch, available from VW, is called a ventilation valve or something similar, and it's part of the original T3 cruise control system.
greetings

Hello Dieter,
Thank you for your information.
Do you happen to know off the top of your head which signals I need in addition to the ones mentioned?
I have a solution for the hall sensor signal. The T3 wave will be replaced with a split signal and connected to the hall sensor. Next, you will solder a doubler circuit (I will provide instructions for building it) and run the signal, among other things, to the Golf's dashboard.
Best regards,
Mike D.
