PLEASE READ AND FORWARD!!!!!

Fuel price control:
It appears that gasoline prices will reach an absolute record high by the summer, with experts estimating around 130.9 cents per liter for regular gasoline or more.

Do you want gasoline prices to go down?

This requires a smart and, above all, collaborative action. Phillip Hollsworth had the following idea, which makes MUCH MORE SENSE than suggestions about how to avoid refueling on a specific day (as has been suggested multiple times).

Oil companies are laughing about it because they know exactly that we can't "harm" ourselves indefinitely by not buying gasoline. Eventually, we have to refuel. This idea is more of an inconvenience for us than it hurts the oil companies. But THIS NEW IDEA could really help lower gasoline prices - so please read and participate!!!

We need to show the oil companies that we, the customers, have the power, and not the other way around. With constantly rising gasoline prices, we, the customers, need to start taking action. The only way to force gasoline prices down is to financially hurt individual companies by not buying their gasoline. This can have a significant impact on overall gasoline prices and may even force a price war.

Here's the idea: For the rest of the year, DO NOT buy gasoline from the three largest providers (Shell, Esso, and Aral)! If they stop selling gasoline, they will be forced to lower their prices in order to attract customers again.

If the two major players lower their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. If they then raise the prices again, the cycle starts all over. To make this system work, as many people as possible need to be aware of it. So, please forward this email to everyone you know.

I'm sending it to about 30 people - if you then also forward it to 20 or more people, and they do the same, the number of recipients will grow very, very rapidly, and it could reach several million people in a very short time.

If we can stick together, we can achieve great things – and only then!
We, the customers, have the power, not the other way around!

PLEASE HOLD OFF ON PURCHASING UNTIL THEY LOWER AND MAINTAIN THEIR PRICES. THIS SYSTEM HAS ALREADY WORKED IN OTHER COUNTRIES (e.g., ...).
CANADA, which consequently forced the price down by almost 24 cents per liter.

ESPECIALLY DURING THE UPCOMING HOLIDAYS AND SUMMER VACATION, WE CAN ACHIEVE A LOT. LARGE CORPORATIONS LOVE THESE TYPES OF EVENTS.

I'm also in favor of a reduction, but we've already had this exact idea once before, last year. And something similar happened two years ago.

result: The oil companies are laughing at our clumsy action. It's commendable, but it will likely lead to nothing again.

It's really bad that we are so dependent on gasoline.
Probably, in the short term and the long term, a 3-liter car icon_cry.gif is likely the only solution.

with an acceleration from 0 to 100 in 20 seconds icon_cry.gif.

And with that thing, try pulling a caravan.

Absolutely true.

but the trend with caravans is always going to be: who can pull the biggest caravan with the smallest towing vehicle. icon_evil.gif I could tell some stories about that, but it would be too off-topic.

Hi,

So, I just switched to biodiesel. It's actually much cheaper than regular diesel.

The other question is how much they will lower their prices before the first stations start losing money. As soon as the difference is only 2-3 cents, almost everyone will start filling up where they want again.

My recommendation is: drive in a sensible and forward-looking manner. Compared to a sporty driving style, you can save so much fuel that gas stations would practically have to give it away (not counting taxes) to even slightly offset the savings.

You really have to think about what it's worth when you drive home for just 5 minutes after work, simply because you had the heating on wherever possible. The time needed to recover from such a trip is significantly longer than the time saved on the drive.
It doesn't mean you have to give up driving pleasure completely, but it can make a significant difference on certain routes.
I can only recommend trying it out and experiencing it for yourself...

Greetings.

Eike.

Well, it's just the usual chain letter... icon_sad.gif

It won't change anything; we've been through this many times before.

I'm afraid people will have to start throwing stones before anything changes...

Politicians don't understand anything anymore; they've all taken care of themselves and their families for the next three generations.

Best regards, Rainer.

hi,
I'm glad I already have a 3L car.

The money you save by driving a smaller car instead of a larger one can easily cover the cost of a vacation.
After all, you don't drive a caravan around all day.

I don't really care how much I pay for gasoline.
If gasoline becomes more expensive, I will simply drive slower and/or less often.
If the price of diesel ever exceeds 2 euros per liter,
'Then I'll run on pure ethanol, and I can set aside the money I save in case it turns out that running on 100% ethanol isn't feasible and the engine fails. But either way, I'll be saving money.'
greetings

It only affects the operators of these gas stations; the corporations don't care either way. That's why I think this idea is ridiculous and unfair.
Always fill up where the gas is the cheapest and of good quality.

Oh no, help! Not this again...

great!

Okay, let's guess who owns the refineries that supply gasoline to every gas station...

Of course, you could refuel at DEA (which is Shell), or at BP (which is Aral).
Ah, so, Esso is part of Exxon and interacts with Shell.
