So, I have finally managed to read out measurement block 10.

The print button was pressed while the engine was running at full throttle in 3rd gear, at 3000 RPM.

That's what came out.

847 mg/H
1016 mbar
2091 mbar
100.0%

"The turbocharger pressure seems to be fine. But what does that mean for my problem? What could be broken? As I mentioned, I've already replaced almost everything (see the beginning of the thread)."

I'm curious to hear what you think about it.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

"The values are actually okay, right? And there are no error codes stored?"
I don't remember if you've already written about this. Therefore, please don't post randomly, but always create one thread for each problem.
Okay, so let me reiterate: The diesel filter has already been replaced, and there's no air in the fuel line between the diesel filter and the fuel injection pump, right?

Best regards, Rainer.

The diesel filter was last replaced. However, the problem existed before the replacement and, unfortunately, still persists after the replacement.

I've occasionally seen small air bubbles, about 5mm in size, in the transparent diesel fuel line.

However, since the error code 575 017, which indicates an intermittent issue with the intake manifold pressure control differential, is appearing in the fault memory, I don't think the problem is related to the fuel tank system.

I'm planning to ask a young mechanic who's training to be a master technician at VW this weekend. I know him pretty well, and I hope he can help me out and that he won't charge too much for the inspection.

Hello,

Does the error occur every time? Then measure at what engine speed the error occurs, and also measure the duty cycle of the magnetic valve used for turbocharger pressure regulation.

Best regards, Rainer.

Okay, the problem (lack of power) always occurs when accelerating fully. But it only happens around 100 km/h in 4th gear at 2,900 RPM. Then I shift to 5th gear, and it's fine at 3,100 RPM and around 120 km/h. If I ease off the accelerator and gradually increase the throttle, it eventually reaches top speed, but as soon as I press the accelerator about three-quarters of the way down, the power cuts out again.
As soon as the car is fully loaded, the problem appears sooner.

I replaced the magnetic switch for the charging pressure on the injection molding machine. I replaced the EGR magnetic valve and the mass airflow sensor (MAF) with parts from a working 1Zer engine. My exchange partner didn't have any problems, but the error has reappeared on my vehicle. icon_cry.gif

Therefore, I think the valves and everything are probably fine. Or do you think the timing might be coming from the control device incorrectly? How do I check the timing?

The hoses leading to the intercooler are also all in good condition. Could it be that the intercooler has a hole? Does that happen often?

just a thought: when the mechanics at the Audi dealership installed my turbocharger, they installed the boost pressure control valve backward, and I had the same problems as you... no offense, but maybe check if the hoses are connected the right way... icon_confused.gif

That would be too good to be true, but the last time I had a working TDI in front of me, I checked all the hoses and compared them to mine. Everything was connected the same way.

As written, today we're driving 600km to Bonn, and tomorrow new brake pads and new strut mounts will be installed, and they'll search for the cause of the problem. And all of this will be done at a VW workshop. My friend is a trainee mechanic, but do you have any advice that we can give him about the best way to proceed? All of VW's expensive equipment is there. Should he print out measurement block 10 again using the 1551 when the error occurs? You know, no one becomes a master overnight. And certainly not from the VW 'heaven'! icon_wink.gif
