Hello everyone!!
Problems upon problems... I unfortunately have to post again
I replaced the timing belt on my Audi 80 1Z about 3000 km ago. However, yesterday I discovered that the timing belt already shows signs of wear

. The surface (smooth side) is rough and the text is barely readable anymore. Furthermore, the timing belt is not running in the center and is rubbing against the edge of the tension roller. In contrast, it was previously running perfectly centered, and the text is still readable on the older ZR.
I then laid out a straight line using the ESP and NW roads as a guide. While they are not perfectly parallel, a slight difference should be acceptable. The ESP is definitely securely attached.
Unfortunately, I installed a fake ZR and tension roller. (I won't be doing that again). But at least the power cord comes from the same manufacturer as the original, even though it doesn't have a part number.
Could it be the timing belt?
I'm planning to buy a new {PRODUCT} from Continental.
Has anyone of you ever experienced the same problem?
Greetings, Wolfi
