Hello,

Here's a diagram showing the course of the intake air temperature and diesel temperature during approximately 10 minutes of uphill driving.

Compared to the charge air temperatures listed by Rainer K. (see his technical article), mine are approximately 15°C higher, which is likely due to the poorer airflow to my intercooler because of lower speeds.

The vehicle is the Ibiza mentioned below, equipped with a turbocharger and approximately 1.1 bar of boost pressure.

Best regards, Georg.

It might be...

The vehicle is the Ibiza described below, with a turbocharger and approximately 1.1 bar of boost pressure.
But that sounds much more likely to be the cause of higher temperatures for you...

Regards,
Private.

Hello private area.

You're probably right: The increased boost pressure will primarily contribute to an increase in temperature.

But again: Does anyone have data on how the intake air temperature affects the fuel injection amount?

Or do you have a good idea of how to extract this data from the control unit? I'm thinking something like driving at a constant speed on the highway and using a calibrated potentiometer instead of the turbocharger pressure sensor. Then, observe the value of the soot limit field as a function of the potentiometer resistance.

Regarding the soot threshold field, I am not entirely sure: Using VCDS, I can display various fuel injection values; however, the associated documentation is not clear enough to allow me to easily distinguish and correlate the limits based on mass airflow sensor (MAF) value, boost pressure value, and charge air temperature value. Furthermore, there's also the driver-requested fuel injection amount field...

Okay, let me rephrase this (for better understanding of my question): I see different fuel injection quantity values in VCDS. In case of doubt, the lowest value is likely the one being injected. How do I correlate these different fuel injection quantity values to the various maps (limited by charge air temperature, limited by mass airflow sensor value, limited by driver demand, limited by boost pressure, if applicable)?

Kann jemand genau sagen, welcher Wert (Messblock-Nr. / einzelner Wert) was aussagt bezgl. Injection amount?
If so, I would be happy to volunteer my time to record a corresponding characteristic curve.

Thank you, Georg.

Oh, that reminds me of something else:

@ Rudi

Do you ever tinker around with your messaging system (e.g., installing new software)?
Could you just post a corresponding map/table?

Best regards,
George.

at ALH:
Limitations in block 008.

Field 2 = Driver Preference.
3 = Torque limiting.
4 = Air filter / soot reduction.

I think it's the same with ASV.
