Hey!
I have an A3 with the older air conditioning system, and my wife's A4 (model 2000) has the newer version. My car is always perfectly climate-controlled; hers always blows air from the middle vents (Mannanströmer). The temperature control works perfectly, and pressing the buttons also allows you to adjust the air distribution. However, you can't achieve a comfortable setting like in my car. Either you get cold/warm feet, or it blows air directly into your face. If you turn off the Mannanströmer or close them, it becomes noisy due to the partially closed vent, or there is no or too little air in the interior. Changing the desired temperature also doesn't correct this behavior. Can the settings of the system be changed in principle?
