MFA: Instant Power Consumption / TDI: Severe Power Loss

Can someone give me a tip on where the error might be?
'On my 115hp AJM PD engine, the fuel consumption display no longer switches to liters per hour when the vehicle is stationary. Instead, it displays the last recorded 'rolling' consumption, for example, 6.5L. The display also does not update while the vehicle is stopped.'
However, using VAG COM, specifically the 'Engine Control Module' -> 'Measurement Block 15', the correct 'static' fuel consumption values are displayed (as usual, around 0.4 L/h).
However, all other indicators are normal.

No, this feature is only available from the 2002 model year onwards, in combination with WFS Generation 3.

Well, this is news to me. I've worked on about 50-80 Golf 4s so far (no, I don't adjust speedometers), and this feature wasn't available until the 2002 model year.

I've now also looked in the manual, driven by desperation, and it says what you said: 'It always displays the last current consumption value when the vehicle is stationary, and it's recalculated every 30 meters while driving.'
So, I guess I was probably misled by the R32 - it has the same large MFA display, and there it shows liters per hour; and unfortunately, it turns out that a neighbor of mine has a TDI MJ2002, and I compared his with mine using my MFA.
Perhaps it can be explained by Alzheimer's disease...

I also suspect the LMM.
The problem manifests as intermittent power drops across the entire RPM range. Occasionally, the tachometer also stops increasing above 4000 RPM, followed by a complete loss of power in all gears.
Next week I have a doctor's appointment, but my neighbor is going to let me try installing his mass airflow sensor (MAF) temporarily.

This is the mass airflow sensor (MAF). We had the same problem with ours (in a Passat). We replaced the MAF sensor, and the car is running fine again.

Okay, so...
KD is complete, and the faulty part causing the significant performance loss has also been identified.

In short: The LMM (Mass Air Flow sensor) was tested and, contrary to my initial assumption, was not the cause of the problem. Instead, the boost pressure sensor 1J0 906 627 A was defective. And as far as I can tell today (August 4th), the problem seems to be actually resolved.

PS: The device is located in my TDI in the engine compartment, directly below the driver's side windshield wiper linkage, has a gray body, and 3 hose connections.
