ESP, ALH engine leak

Hello,
I've been running my Octavia on vegetable oil for about 2000 km (1-tank conversion by Elsbett). Before that, I used biodiesel. The current mileage is approximately 42,000 km. The ESP is leaking, probably between the distributor head and the pump housing. Can this be repaired yourself with a gasket set? Or can Bosch do it? Or is replacing the entire pump the only option? Why could this leak have occurred?

It's a shame you didn't bother to educate yourself about biodiesel and engine conversions before trying them.



The leak is likely caused by the biodiesel. Finding a Bosch service to repair it (by replacing the seal(s)) might be a bit more difficult. You'll probably need to find some experienced mechanics for that. Usually, these ESP units are replaced entirely (which is unfortunately expensive).
