Hello,
'On my Passat with the AVF engine and 290,000 km on the odometer, I'm experiencing an issue where oil is increasingly leaking out of two holes located to the right and left of the pressure sensor on the AGR valve, and this oil then drips down onto the exhaust manifold.'
My question is: Is there a repair kit available for the AGR valve, or do I have to replace it completely?
This part number is printed as: 038 131 501 AA.
Has anyone here ever used a complete set purchased from eBay? Are there any other recommended options, or is it best to go with the expensive one from a dealer?

Best regards,
Faxes.

I would go with Pierburg. The stuff you find on online marketplaces is often a gamble.
Regardless, they're all feeling a little bit of pressure.

Hello,
Here's a photo; does this still count as 'sweating'?
I wiped the oil off the drill bit; there's so much of it.
that it's leaking from the exhaust manifold.
Is Wahler also a possible manufacturer as an alternative to Pierburg?
Best regards,
Faxes.

My AGR looks like this after 100,000 km. Nothing has changed or worsened during that time. About 1-2 times per year, the pressure washer is used anyway .
Unfortunately, I cannot provide any information about Zu Wahler as an agricultural cooperative (AGR).

That is too much for the MOT test .
You can use Wahler instead of Pierburg. Wahler is just as good in terms of quality .

As long as it doesn't leak excessively, doesn't oil the engine block, and isn't filled with oil in the engine protection pan, the vehicle inspector won't say anything, unless they are a highly trained inspector who will find something to complain about even in a brand new car.
It's anyway well hidden by the fairing .
It looks the same on my Spanish car.
The engine will be washed every year, usually in the middle to end of May.
