Hello,
A quick poll to determine which vehicle brands should be added to the selection.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hi Rainer,
Renault (which is not part of the PSA group) also seems to be interesting, especially since their engines are very similar to our TDI engines. For example, someone from the Kangoo forum once applied the AGR article directly to their car – with success.
I think I would like to add the following point: "Turbodiesel engines from brands other than VAG," without splitting or restricting the scope of the discussion – we can always adjust things later if it's accepted.
Best regards,

Okay, thank you! I wasn't entirely clear on which companies use diesel engines from the PSA Group.
Best regards, Rainer.

I find the question very difficult and I can't understand the suggested combinations.
PSA (Peugeot and Citroen) currently uses exclusively 'HDI engines,' some of which feature particulate filter regeneration. These are common rail systems from Bosch. Before the HDI era, they used a variety of distributor injection pumps from both Bosch and Lucas.
BMW has been using Bosch distributor injection pumps (VP36) since 1987, and only for a few years has it been using Bosch common rail systems. Until recently, the 320d still had a Bosch radial piston pump (VP44), but now it exclusively uses common rail technology.
Ford has used distributor injection pumps from various manufacturers (Lucas, which is now Delphi, Bosch VP 37, VP 20, VP 30, and VP 44). These are now being replaced by common rail systems, although this time by Delphi.
Opel began the modern diesel era in 1996 with Bosch radial piston pumps (VP44), and in the Omega, which has a BMW engine, they continued to use the Bosch VP36. The new 1.7-liter engine uses a Japanese Denso pump. It is likely that Opel will soon install Fiat engines, probably with Bosch common rail technology.
Mercedes currently uses exclusively Bosch common rail systems, but until recently, there were various other options available: upgraded inline pumps, electronic inline pumps (with quantity control but without injection timing control), the traditional Bosch VP36 in the 290E, and the Lucas distributor pump in the C 220.
The list could go on for pages, and I could only imagine two possibilities:
1. New engines according to systems (e.g., all with common rail, all with VP44, etc.).
2. Only include one manufacturer, because even that is confusing enough.
Best regards from Lanz.
